Austin Yoga

Austin Yoga Detail
The practice of yoga has evolved over thousands of years to encompass a wide range of styles and disciplines. These different forms of yoga, from Anusara to Ashtanga, each have a unique focus. Whether you are new to yoga, or new to taking yoga classes in Austin, TX, welcome! From Westlake Hills to Downtown Austin, dozens of studios abound.
Austin is a town of many faces. We’re a music town, a food town, a tech town, a beer town, a bicycle town, an arts town, a college town and a tourist town — depending on the time of day and the neighborhood you’re in.
Yoga town Austin takes center stage this Saturday and Sunday at the Palmer Events Center, where the Austin Yoga Expo and Conference assembles to engage our bodies and minds with a two-day schedule of lectures, classes and workshops that promise to enrich the lives of beginners and longtime practicing yogis alike.

  1. For most dahn yoga classes, you'll need a yoga mat and comfortable clothes, as well as a bottle of water. Some dynamic classes require a towel (to mop up all that sweat!) while others encourage you to bring a blanket or shawl for the relaxation or meditation.
